On the Closing Ceremony of 50 Years of Independence, in August 1998, the Society organized a function at India International Center, which was inaugurated by Union Minister of Industries, Shri Sikander Bakht and presided by former Union Minister, Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha. The veteran freedom fighters of Delhi including Mir Mustaq Ahmed and Subdhra Joshi etc. were honored in the function.
